Two things. First, ours is one single part rather than two halves clipped together. There is a TPU bridge across the hinge, so the front and back hold each other onto the device — two-piece cases lift at one corner and come off entirely. Most fold cases have either a bridge or a hinge cover; ours has both.

Second, the front frame. That is the thinnest, most vulnerable part of any fold case and it is what sits between the ground and your inner screen. We have run an aramid fibre stiffener through it, formed in a dedicated tool so it curves up into the corner where cracks start and travel. We chose aramid over steel because it is non-conductive, so there is no risk of interfering with how your device works.
